2 month stats

Owen had his 2 month check up today and he weighed in at 11lbs 4oz (just under 50%) and is 23 inches (just under 75%). He also had 4 shots plus an oral vaccine. Right now, he has a fever and doesn't feel so hot...

This is Owen in the tub "waiting" for a bath after pooping in his clothes. He doesn't seem to poop in moderation. It's either all or nothing! He's pretty funny... he screams his head off because the empty tub is cold...

and then once the tub is filled... ahh, that's better!

Happy Birthday/Valentine's Day

Yesterday I had a very nice birthday. Owen was kind enough not to wake up until 3:30am. Ben, unexpectantly, got to sleep in since his office opened 2 hours late due to freezing rain/ice. I was able to get up and take a shower by myself!! The kids and I had breakfast and then headed out for a few errands and got lunch while we were out. We got home and they both took naps before Ben got home around 6ish. We all went out to dinner at a little Italian place called Green Olives. Ben and I have been there now for all 3 of my birthdays here in VA. I got chicken with proscuitto, provolone, and olives in a lemon caper sauce. Ben got tortalini in a pesto sauce. Both were wicked good. After dinner we came home and had yummy homemade birthday cake!

Today, for Valentine's Day, I couldn't ask for any cuter valentines!

Super Snow Bowl

Well there was no snow but it was the annual get together of the Colgate crew for Super Bowl weekend, which was hosted here in Virginia by us, The Bliss's and The Morrison's. Friday night Pam, Charlie and David spent the night here with us and the kids were excited, as usual, to see each other. Maddie's newest word is David which she pronounces "Deebid"... very cute! Saturday we met up with everyone for lunch and then went to the Air and Space Museum out at Dulles Airport. The museum is an actual airplane hanger filled with planes, helicopters, space shuttles and more... Maddie enjoyed looking at all the "airpanes"! Saturday night we went to a local Japanese restaurant and had a yummy habachi dinner. Maddie was a bit leary of the fire though. Sunday morning was the annual football game. It was great weather for playing! There were a few less people playing than usual though due to most of the moms of the group either being pregnant or watching one or two of the 7 kids under age three!
Happily there were no injuries to report this year! Here is the group picture...
For the game we went down to The Morrison's home were the guys played some pre-game X-Box on 3 TVs throughout the house. Dinner was a wicked good spread of grilled pork loin, chili, and lots of other yummy stuff! We all had a great time watching the game while the kids played... too bad the Pats lost.
Check out Maddie and David's matching outfits.
It was a fun filled weekend and we can't wait to do it again next year!
