Weekend with friends!

This weekend was the first in a while that Ben and I have actually had off together. Since we hadn't seen our friends Pam, Charlie and David in a while, we drove up to their place in Philadelphia. After a very long drive (5 hours... most of which was spent on the magnificant Capital Beltway) we finally got there. Maddie was not so sure that she enjoyed David pulling himself up on her at first... But she did warm up after a little bit and they enjoyed playing with each other.



On Saturday Pam, David, Ben, Maddie and I (Charlie had to work) drove an hour and a half to Lancaster, PA to the outlet mall. We walked around for a bit and had a nice lunch with Maddie's Great Aunt Louise and Great Uncle Roger. They haven't had the chance to meet Maddie before now so it was nice to get to see them!

Today we all drove to Baltimore's Inner Harbor and went to the National Aquarium. The kids loved seeing all the fish and sharks and dolphins! Maddie especially loved to be able to walk around. I bought one of those harnesses (which I feel slightly bad about), but since Maddie loves to walk now and doesn't always like to hold your hand, and now she likes to run away, I don't feel that bad. After walking for a long time, Maddie enjoyed a snooze in her backpack before heading to the dolphin show.

After the Aquarium we headed next door the The ESPN Zone for dinner. After dinner Maddie practiced her big sister duties by helping to push David in his stoller!

In addition to being with great friends all weekend, we had perfect weather too! Overall a great weekend!
