It's Madelyn's first Christmas and we've had a busy few days! Grandma and Grandpa Robertson were here to visit this past weekend. On Saturday we went to the National Cathedral. It is pretty spectacular anyway with all the stained glass windows but it was extra nice decorated for the holidays! After lunch we went to the US Botanical Gardens where they had a toy train exhibit.Yesterday was Christmas Eve and we had a nice day in. We walked to breakfast/brunch and then just hung out at home. Ben baked some yummy cookies, we had a nice dinner and then opened presents. Maddie was way more interested in eating the tissue paper than any of her gifts but she had a good time!
Today we had a nice morning just the 3 of us! After presents we had a wicked good breakfast of Blueberry Stuffed French Toast. In a little while we're headed to the Bliss' home for Christmas dinner and hanging out with friends and their new baby! It has been a pretty perfect weekend and we've totally enjoyed watching Maddie enjoy her first Christmas!!!
