Super Snow Bowl
Well there was no snow but it was the annual get together of the Colgate crew for Super Bowl weekend, which was hosted here in Virginia by us, The Bliss's and The Morrison's. Friday night Pam, Charlie and David spent the night here with us and the kids were excited, as usual, to see each other. Maddie's newest word is David which she pronounces "Deebid"... very cute! Saturday we met up with everyone for lunch and then went to the Air and Space Museum out at Dulles Airport. The museum is an actual airplane hanger filled with planes, helicopters, space shuttles and more... Maddie enjoyed looking at all the "airpanes"! Saturday night we went to a local Japanese restaurant and had a yummy habachi dinner. Maddie was a bit leary of the fire though. Sunday morning was the annual football game. It was great weather for playing! There were a few less people playing than usual though due to most of the moms of the group either being pregnant or watching one or two of the 7 kids under age three!
Happily there were no injuries to report this year! Here is the group picture...
For the game we went down to The Morrison's home were the guys played some pre-game X-Box on 3 TVs throughout the house. Dinner was a wicked good spread of grilled pork loin, chili, and lots of other yummy stuff! We all had a great time watching the game while the kids played... too bad the Pats lost.
Check out Maddie and David's matching outfits.
It was a fun filled weekend and we can't wait to do it again next year!

One month old!
Owen will be 1 month old tomorrow and Madelyn will be 21 months old... time goes by so fast! We have all adjusted fairly well, I think, to having a new baby in the house. Maddie's favorite thing to say is "Owen's OK" since that is what we say to her when he cries. She is very concerned about him and says "Owen's OK" all day long even if he's not crying. Most of the time she sounds pretty pitiful when she says it and it's hard to say who she's trying to convince... Owen, us or herself. Ben and my only complaint is that Owen has no sense of time and is waking up every 2 hours on most nights. We took Owen to be weighed on Friday since he hadn't regained his birth weight by 2 weeks, the doctor wanted to be sure he started to gain appropriately... he weighs a whooping 8 pounds 4 ounces (with a onesie on, a dry diaper, and a half full belly)... still not even close to his sister's birth weight! Yesterday we all went into DC to do some Smithsonian hopping since Ben hadn't been in quite some time. We went to Air and Space, 3 art museums and finally ended up at Natural History. It was nice to hang out as a family for a change! Enjoy some of the latest pictures!
